
Matt Ritter
Captain Matt Ritter is an airline pilot for Canada’s largest airline, currently flying the Boeing 737 MAX. As an airline pilot, Matt has specialized training in emergency procedures and preparedness. Having graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa with a BA Psychology, Matt has a special interest in industrial psychology, specifically in terms of how it relates to safety practices and accident prevention. Matt also has a keen interest in meteorology, specifically in the area of severe weather emergency preparedness. Matt’s background makes him uniquely qualified to drive our recent initiatives to design Severe Weather Shelters with our partners at Ryerson University and to promote emergency preparedness for severe weather events in Canada.
